Con Way Truckload

Dispatched miles. Doesn't have to run them that week but you can get 2k something then on sat be dispatched a 2k+ run and it all goes on that one check. I had 4400 2 weeks ago. Those are good pay checks.

 

Yeah I remember that from Orientation. Isn't it as long as you get dispatched by 23:59 on Saturday it goes on that check.

How that is done the miles are.. WE get paid as soon as we are dispatched on a load an the pay period is from Sat to Sat. so figure 2000 run is done in 5 days . once that load is off. then they give another load say 2100 same week is how its done. that is how that driver got that mileage in one week. Call an talk to our safety department or the Recuiters.. an yes I do work for Con-Way truckload also.

 

That is really good, But what does the check after a week where you are playing catch up look like? Thanks.

 

It all depends on how you run and get the miles. I have no problems from week to week.. lol only when I go on hometime. Its all good tho I haven't had to worry. I like getting the short miles like 300 or 400 an get loads back to back. it all evens out. so many can tell you all kinds of stuff but only you can manage hours and money.

 

What is the Con-way Truckload Student "Boot Camp" Program?

Well Monday is over, videos and more rules about dress, hygene and being around the customer, there was one person in class this morning but come to find out they got their BP checked and it was still high, I heard they were there last week, failed the BP check and went yome to the Dr. he fixed it and they came back this week only to be in the same situation.. there are some good guys in this group, they are really committed to helping the others get thru it, I'm not sure when we will get in the trucks, George is a really nice guy. Well we all passed the driving and backing test, we do some test tomorrow and hopefully we will be in trucks and headed out late on Friday, George our instructor is a heck of a nice guy he teaches by example, he has so many stories also he has 2.8 Million miles, so he knows what he is doing, I'm stll impressed with what they have to offer.
