Got a 2000 T2000 and one of the airbags at the back of the cab, in the middle, is leaking air. I ordered a new one today.

Just wondering how difficult those are to change out.

I jacked up the cab today and looked at it. Looks to me like the only lines/fittings are going into the bottom.

I was told that they are easy to remove. Just undo the lines after raising the cab and they'll come right out. Is this true?

    Thanks.

I use to separate leveling valve rod and use it to raise cabine and put bricks ore wood bars under it to remove air bag. it is usually clmped in cabine / frame braket. Yeah, on some truck they use bolts.

Don't know about KW, but on a Century I had you could use the air leveling valve to over extend the good bag to lift the cab enough to take out the bad bag. Just be sure to get the leveling valve back where it belongs when you are done.

I have a small jack that fits between frame and cab. It works great on jacking up the cab.

I'm just wanting to make sure they are that simple to change.

I use to have the same truck, and the same problem. although you could overextend the one airbag, that's a lot of weight on one bag. use a jack for your safety, and a block to ensure it doesn't come down. it is very easy to change. good luck!

Well, I finally got around to replacing the leaky air bag. It wasn't too bad but I must say it doesn't just pop in and out unless you know exactly what you're doing. lmao The next one, if I ever have to do it, will go a lot faster and easier.

Overall, it wasn't too bad. If I'd have disengaged the leveling arm right off the bat, it would have been tons easier.
