Deceptive practices at PRIME Inc!

I really dont feel sorry for anybody that gets the shaft from prime. That company headquarters was paid by cheating the drivers. Two points to make. First with such little time in the industry he had no bussiness getting involved in a lease on any truck. and 2nd. I dont know about needing a sleep study, but you need other help, wanting to work for prime

 

Yes but people will also lease property with a bad roof , poor plumbing just to get the place and then about the bad deal when they get backcharged.

Trucks are no different , look past the OH MY GOD , I GOT A TRUCK syndrome and realize your on the HOOK $ wise for everything thats wrong when YOU turn it in regardless of if you got it in that condition.

 

If you don't document every tiny scratch or problem with the truck when you pick it up, make a copy for yourself and then turn it in, any damages not documented will count against you. I picked up a loaner truck while I was there. I went through that heap with a fine-tooth comb and came out with three pages of stuff. Then, I went one further and photographed every item I found wrong with it. Digital cameras date and time stamp each photo. When I turned it in two weeks later, there was nothing to "ding" me on. Not even the dog hair. Because I had photos of the dog hair left behind by the previous driver.

With Prime, it's all about documentation. It's the only thing that will save your arse come turn-in time.

I take it you've driven for Prime on a lease for years then, and know what you're writing about? Oh... you've never even walked in the door - so you know about this, do you?

in my opinion the sleep pointe study is rigged.thier are all kinds of studys to determine if you have sleep apnea and primes is way overboard.first off your asked to see a doctor thats not yours its primes in house doctor.then you go to the sleep study in primes motel. imagine that!! then you get close to 20-30 wires placed on your head legs chest etc...then your told to lay on your back and go to sleep. for me i dont sleep on my back i sleep on my belly. so with all this going on i couldnt fall asleep. i laid restless for 3 hrs then i finally fell asleep.and of course the reason i was diagnose with sleep apnea was because my tongue fell backwards into my throat causing me to block my airway. probably why i lay on my belly. but if i have sleep apnea and the whole reason for the test is to prevent me from falling asleep behind the wheel WHY DID IT TAKE ME 3HOURS TO FINALLY FALL ASLEEP!! if i have sleep apnea and drowsiness issues and i dont get proper sleep. then i should have fallen asleep just like that!! like i said thiers other ways to study this like sitting in a chair for an hour whilr someone monitors you. or go to bed with no wires and told to sleep the way you sleep and they monitor you.prime chose the absolutely will fail model for a reason. i can only assume its for money.i was told that D.O.T regulations say i have to use the machine 4hrs a nite. well i have since left prime because of all the nonsense they have started doing sleep studys,BMI index hiring,electronic logs and not to mention $1100 fixed cost per week. i found a company actually a broker i pull dry frieght for now and love it. oh and btw............ive been inspected 4 times by the D.O.T since the sleep apnea diagnosis and have been asked ZERO times if i have a cpap machine and looking to see if im using it 4 hours a night!! imagine that!! so none of it makes sense other then to say prime is getting a kickback of some kind and with all the new regualtions coming out. primes attitude is they can say they have the safest drivers which hopefully turns into more contracts and guess what......MORE MONEY. its not about safety its about money!!

Its a fact, that most people that lease dont have the credit to buy a tractor outright. They think they are going to make thousands of dollars. But the truth is most find out they are more broke and have a more lousy credit score than before the lease. Its usually the way they handle money and poor judgement thats gets them in the end
