I went to the ER at 3am Saturday. I have a 7mm stone stuck in the ureter (pipe between the kidney and bladder) at the moment.
The pain subsided finally so either it's good and stuck now (only hurts when it's moving) or it's in the bladder and waiting to leave.

The last one I had (about 2yrs ago) was 3.5mm.

Need another CT Scan to determine where it's at, and no idea what they will do next or when.
They think I should be able to pass a 7mm stone.
The 3.5mm was interesting to say the least.

just be careful of the ricochet when that rock comes out--i offered to get my last one put in a ring setting for my wife---but she declined
kinda thinking of putting it on e-bay---cant use it for gravel cause it is too sharp--might puncture a tire

Cat D8 and Hanadarko Thank this.

    Ricochet? :biggrin_2556:

    Suppose I can pass a 7mm stone??
I guess I will find out more details when I meet with the urologist this week, or end up in ER.

They gave me Percocet and Flomax (to encourage it to leave sooner).
I didnt see the CT myself so I can't recall how close it was to the bladder.
The doc contradicted himself when I asked and with the Morphine I had in me.....I can't recall squat.

PS. No, I am not driving right now....

i have had several of them rascals but my last one was the worst....it was so big i couldnt pass it they had to put me under and go after it,and after surgery they told me to return in a week to get the stint out they had to put in to hold my walls out so they wouldnt collapse......the pain was sooo intense that it made me vomit repeatedly, but i would take the pain pills and drink water and soak in a very hot tub of water to get relief.....it seemed like the water (hot) on my kidneys would relax something in there and the pain would subside......since then i have stayed away from mountain dew,too much red meat, milk, and a few other things they said might be the root cause for it.....

A long, long time ago, 1950's - back when doctors didn't have every technological do-dad that nerds can think up to torture you with - they told my father to drink straight lemon juice. The acid will help disolve kidney stones. I believe it was one lemon daily.

You do have to be careful with your teeth, because it goes after them too. Rinse with a strong baking soda in water solution afterwords.
