I, myself, can vouch for the severe back pain. I was carrying a basket of clothes upsatirs one morning before work. I went up about 14 stairs to the first landing and all of a sudden, felt and heard a pop in my back. I immediatly dropped the basket of clothes, hunched down in pain. After a few minutes, the pain went away enough for me to go to work. Well about 2-3 hours later, my left foot starting tingling. I kinda ingnored it and the tingling turned into numbness after about a week. Everytime I go to take a step with my left foot, it would slap to the ground. To make a long story short, I was flown to Okinawa, I was stationed in Japan at the time, to have back surgery for a herniated disk. About two weeks prior to surgery, my pain was so severe, I had to walk with a cane because my leg would give out on me at random due to the pain. Would I do it again if the situation ever presented itself...in a heartbeat!
