I will have my class A CDL testing complete by the end of the month. I live in Michigan and would like to hear about some of the best companys to drive for. I have a family and would like to get hired to drive a regional route. Any suggestions of who I talk with? Thanks.

It's hard to get on with a local company, without so much OTR experience. Some have more requirements than others...As far as OTR, I just went through USA truck's training, and am fixen to head out solo.

You will need to decide your comfort and ability. I personally do not want to be in the truck with a trainer, I am looking at Watkins & Shepard trucking. I am intrigued by flatbed and am looking into Prime as well. I need 20k miles with a trainer and if I need to be with a trainer a few weeks why not learn flatbed right?
So if you are comfortable with out a trainer I think from reading everyone's post especially CAGE, Deserted, Warped and Lynch from WS it looks like a great company.
If you are less comfortable and don't mind a trainer I am leaning toward May for Van and Prime for flatbed and might even go with a lease.
Good luck.PSWH Thanks this. -
