You are not limited in the number of trucks you can run under your own authority. Does he have one leased to another carrier? Or do you mean that he only has one truck registered?
-
He only has one registered. He has plates and inspection on the truck
-
Something dont sound right What is he doing switching the plates back and forth both the same year and make cause I believe a DOT can tell the difference between a 99 FLD and a 06 KW
-
if they check the vin when he gets stopped....he's screwed
-
I have had the dot check my vin number. If they happen to check they will shut him down and could impound the truck. In any case, he will likely have a stiff fine and will probably be required to get his registration for the truck before they will allow him to move. He is taking a very big chance. One other thing. Unless the unregistered truck is listed on his insurance, they will probably not pay off in case he is in an accident.

-
