starting RDTC on March 7th

they really need to push more company guys towards being trainers. There are a lot of guys that would be really good at it, but I fully understand why they wouldn't want to. It's a hard thing to do to train whomever is given to you. I couldn't do it, for the most part I dont like people. Ask any of the drivers that were on my fleet.

 

I signed up to be a trainer a month ago, never heard a word back from anyone, really think I could help these new guys out,been driving for 15yrs now, and myself had a nightmare of a trainer the first company I went with, so I do know what not to do lol, decided on going the other route last week and leased a truck, figure now that I have they will say something about training, but would need a condo for that

 

with the new phase training getting ready to replace the Evo system this summer... you will do 8 days local at the terminal and then 13 days with a trainer (ONCE)... so we will use less trainers....

 

I had a truck for over 500k and seventy or so students and never had any clutch or tranny issues. As long as they actually use the clutch. I never had any other shifting related problems caused by students. I just had one deer strike and one messed up trailer tire and rim in nine years.
