Scania did not want to use SCR for last five years. They used EGR, turbocompaund, but now...

I spent my first 15 years as a driver in a COE, before the days of power steering. I big problem I remember was because every COE had the same wheelbase. The roads were ruff and anything you had in the bunk would come up and join you. I hated it when the short shifter came along. but the best thing to come along was the air ride cab that Ford came up with. I had one of those to drive and it was a great ride. the second best thing was when they came out with the fore aft isolation in the drivers seat. These are just a few of my thoughts of my days in a COE.

Except for that whole driving-at-a-45-degree-angle thing that would happen with those. They were pretty smooth, though. The CL9000 wasn't a bad looking tractor.

Old COE trucks were really terrible. There are Kamaz trucks built in 70-s operating here... It is a noghtmare comparing with modern EU COE trucks. They run better US convientional trucks, smooth and silent.

To compare old rigs with new trucks is not correct. I'm 33 years old that's why I used to drive newer rigs only, but as I can see truckers of 70-s-80-s were really cool guys!

try to search Telmo Abreu, and his shop for repairing scania trucks but older ones

but still they used scr engines from 2005 and now they will start to produce e6 with scr+egr and all kind of stuff

in my country most scanias are scr

because egr engines are not fuel efficient at higher rpm and most scanias here are slower than in EU conturys because of our roads and hills, and there are some additional reasons like pour quality fuel , higher price of egr ....
