AM is found on 29.000 - 29.100 mhz
FM is found on 29.600 - 29.700 mhz

SSB is found on 28.300 - 29.000 mhz

You keep on posting for him to listen to AM. But you need to look at his radio before you comment. It does not do Freqs that end with zeros. Can only do ending with 2x.xx5s. So how does he hear 10 meter AM? You are giving him bad info. I seen a few post telling that he can do this or that. But in order to really listen or work 10m he needs another type of radio.

A lot of hams on 10 Meters aren't using channelized radios, so if we (I, for instance) hear someone on SSB or AM, I'll zero-beat him and talk. Same goes for FM, as long as he's not interfering with an active repeater output or existing simplex QSO.
No doubt, though, CBs that have extended ranges up into 10 Meters without more frequency agility are at somewhat of a disadvantage for easily answering existing CQs by others.

The guys on FM are not going to move .....

If you are not on frequency they will let you know :biggrin_25513:
I use FM on 10 meters it is a very good mode and centered around 29.600.
Radios that are 29.595 or 29.605 will be at the limit of many of the radios bandpass and hard to clearly hear.

AM station are far and few between there are some around 29.000 ....

    99.999% between 28.300 - 29.000 are USB .....

Ughhh....I failed by 2 questions!:biggrin_25510::biggrin_25513: I only had time to complete 20% of my paid for practice exam from hamtestonline...which is a great teaching tool. I am going to finish up my practice exam, and re take it...It could of been passed and Ive learned alot, but I guess there is another 80% to learn:tongueSTARS7:
I will have it down by next test and I might go ahead and learn the General test, too. Trust me I am dis-appointed in myself because I am smart, just never been tecnically or mechanically inlined!

OK, MAYBE I AM NOT CLEAR IN MY QUESTIONS. Back to layman's terms. How do I turn these knobs on this radio to make sounds of ham persons voices come out of it? Channel 2, Knob toC, FM switch on, +10Khz switch on at 8pm? This would be how I need it explained so I can listen in..this is why I am asking experts?

Like I've said before. I don't think it can be done with that radio. It lacks the ability to do 5Khz steps.
