I told a friend about Heartland Express and he called them. After running his background they told him he looked good. They brought him to orientation after making sure he had a current medical card and long form physical. They sent him to their doctor and told him that he had high blood pressure and sent him home. Now he gave up his old job and now doesn't have any job! Way to go Heartland!!

This guy is in great shape and his doctor says he's never had high blood pressure and he even checked it for three days in a row for him at no charge for the visit.

I did that crap for almost four years with them! They could care less about their drivers.

When I went there for a physical we all were told that we had high blood pressure and failed . I told them that their equipment was not correct and made them find a different one , we all passed after that ...

Watch out for how they test for sugar in your urine also. If the little sticks are just setting in an open cup on the counter, they are contaminated under DOT rules. I've been failed like that before only to pass at the next clinic down the street who knew how to maintain proper conditions. Too many fly-by-night clinics out there that will do whatever a company asks them to do, just to keep a steady stream of cash walking in the door.

Then his problem is with the Dr. or clinic.
