What can you tell me about the experienced orientation at the Ellenwood terminal. Just lost my local job in Atl and am thinking of Roehl.

You need to chat with Hamsterrock74.
He has a thread running in the "Questions from New Drivers" section called "Launching in the Morning."
He runs out of Ellenwood and just recently upgraded to fleet, so his info is pretty current.
Do you have any OTR experience? -
Ellenwood is pretty hard to get into. You will probably have to wait about 2 or 3 weeks after your pre-hire to get in. I live in central Florida and got sent to Gary IN. On day 3 of orientation and can't wait to start OTR

I had no trouble starting right away at Ellenwood. They had just started running two teams of trainers. They work it that two trainers run an 8 day session together, monday to monday, and then take 6 days off. During that time off the second team overlaps on mondays, so they constantly have a class running. Where before I think they only had one team running so they only had a new class every other week.
The instructors are awesome and they put you through a lot more situations of close quarters, docking and tight turns then you would get during your 13 day evo 1. -
I do have OTR exp. Thanks for the info.

Where are you at? I'm enroute to Canada. Jeff said Steve Quit during his 8 days out. I've got 4191 so far plus this 1417 to Canada by Monday 1400.
