Clutch-less shifting?

If he's only 16 he can probably teach us more about tranny's than we want to know!

That ol Gear Shiftin and handling that steering wheel. What a thrill!

 

Except for the covenant driver they hauled off in hand cuffs. That is not why I drove a truck.

 

Well he must have been doing something most of us would not be doing. I am sure he was not paying attention to the Covenants.

 

well here is how I float put the truck in...lets say 3rd gear ok Im taking off now I wanna go to 4th I put my right hand on the shifter while keeping my foot on the accelerator let the tires roll once let go of the accelerator and pop it in 4th. I could show you better than explain but I hope you can get the idea. downshifting is kinda the same lets say im in 7th I wanna go to 6th I let the rpms drop to say around 900 put my right hand on the shifter rev it a little let go of the accelerator and pop it into 6th.

 

Hey, this is giving away trade secrets! Should not be so explicit with newbees ya know! Now he's going to go out and try it before he gets the feel of it. What is that shaft called that goes 'BANG' when you miss the gear and costs about $6,000 to replace when the tranny quits working?????
