The current class has only 2 in it and it went on as scheduled.
I don't understand your second question. Are you asking why comm college versus private school or company training?

Since you are looking for opportunities that can get you home, take a look at the Tyson lot at exit 90. Probably a third of the dropped trailers are PRIME. Check it out!

We now have 3 in the class, so it is a definite go. Met with the program director this morning. Also took my physical and drug test. 2 year DOT card now in hand.

    Big Don Thanks this.

on a side note, I am amazed at people who want to get into this profession who have absolutely no clue. Let me explain. This morning I met with the director of the truck driver training program at the community college where I will be attending. Also present were two other people that are going to be in the class with me.

This class has you provide some basic information when you register. Among the things they ask is about your driving history. It certainly makes sense that they would not want to have anyone go through the class would not be eligible for hire with most reputable companies. One of the gentlemen present when asked about his driving record because he left those questions blank, stammered around quite a bit and indicated he could not remember how many tickets he's had over the past five years.

In a way, I'm hoping he ends up not enrolling. I can just see him as somebody will slow down the entire process. Anyhow, looking forward to getting started a week from Monday.
