I've been out of truck driving for a while, but I drove team OTR several years ago. I'm wondering if there have been any changes in the laws.
For example, we use to drive for 10 hours, but it had to be done within 14 hours unless you had a break of 5 or more hours. So, my co-driver and I would switch every 5 hours and that kept us out of trouble for the most part.
Is it still done this way?
Any changes in the last few years

You can drive 11 hours a day, within a 14 hour on duty period - your sleeper birth time now has to be 10 consecutive hours

Good! I like this much better. I always tried to talk my co-driver into splitting the day into 12 hour shifts. It seemed we'd both get more rest that way.
Thanks. -

Okay, thanks. This brings up a few questions, but I go back to school Monday. So, I'll bother the teacher with them.
