Well after many months of set backs I'm starting with Schneider on the on the 14 th in Atlanta. I will be running on the Nissian Dedicated account and am very excited about it. I've been hooked up with a very good team partner and we are both looking forward to the "Big adventure". I will try to keep this tread updated as I move thru the orientation/training process.
Starting with Schneider. Oohrah!

Good luck man! I look forward to hearing about your adventure with Schneider!!
I myself am heading back (rehire) to Schneider this weekend in Carlisle, PA.Chesty Thanks this. -
Went today to Murfreesboro, TN and took my DOT physical and p-test. Passed without any trouble and got my Med Card.

What a relief. I didn't think I would have anymore trouble but after all I've been through, there was still a little concern there. Next stop Atlanta for Orientation and then a TE.

I am on the Nissan account. It is a good account and good miles. Expect to split about 6400 miles per week. There are some headaches at times in Laredo, but overall it is a good account. A good team partner really helps.

Thanks Big Cove, I was wondering how many miles to expect. Also, What's a normal week for you? Jennifer mentioned some runs in Missouri, Kentucky and Decker TN. Any info will be much appreciated. Thanks

Maybe once or twice a month you will go to those places. Well, Decherd, we go there sometimes as often as twice a run (6 days) sometimes twice in a month. It just depends on how the loads fall. The plants are in Smyrna, Decherd, and Canton, MS. Every now and then you may pick up a load at a supplier near Knoxville. I have only been there three times in 8 months. Maybe three times to KY. Twice to MO. You will see Laredo, TX three times a week. Make sure and take a towel and washcloth if you plan on getting a shower in Laredo after business hours. Their fuel desk shuts down after 5 PM. They have no cafeteria, but there is a food truck there in the morning and at noon on weekdays, plus Papa johns brings pizzas to sell at $10 each in the late afternoons. You will have three OC's that you pass near. We normally fuel at West Memphis and Laredo, but Dallas is available if needed. W.M. and Dallas have cafeterias with W.M. having slightly better food.
Also, Laredo has an axle scale for your loads. If your codriver has been on the account a while, he will know all these things. It is a good account with about 93% drop and hook.Chesty Thanks this. -
Chesty, good luck with Schneider. It is one of the companies on the top of my list that I would like to start out at after school.

I'll try to update this tread as soon as I get started in Atlanta on Saturday.

Well they changed my Orientation from Atlanta to Charlotte. No biggie! Haven't been to Charlotte since 1976. Wow! I bet it has changed.
