The company I work for has both the Tripac and the Frigette. The Tripac is so quiet, you can't hear it run. The Frigette is so quiet because it won't run! Unfortunately, I have the Frigette on my truck and it is junk! In the 7 months I have been in this truck it has been worked on 7 times and works for about 2 days then something else goes wrong with it. The Tripac is nice because it has a built in inverter that you can plug in your frig, microwave, tv and alot of other things without needing to buy another inverter. The down side to the Tripacs that we have is the warranty, Thermo King really screwed us with the warranty service and cost my company alot of money. The new trucks will be getting Carrier units I was told. Just stay away from the Frigettes and cover your self as far as the warranty work with the Tripac and you should be fine.

The carrier one looks almost like the tripac, except it says carrier. I heard they cost and sound the same. just a matter of preference.

check with your state. ALot of states are offering incentives to install them. We are waiting to install one in the proper time fram to get the incentive from WI. or at least that is what they are telling me.

    tj, how?

I mean u could install an APU on ur own a "normal" one.

But how do u make it working like the Tri Pac?

I mean that this thing fires up itself when it recognizes the batteries are low?

Contact my wife, she can make the circuit boards, mount the generator, and everything else.
