I remember this truck sitting in front of the drivers lounge, and I believe
this was a training team. One driver fell a sleep while going uphill on Cabbage pass(east bound). yes uphill. both drivers lived.good thing they were not going downhill.

Remarkable! Thanks for posting this picture. It should be a constant reminder to all what happens when someone makes a mistake. It also should serve as a reminder can you deal with someone who has your life in their hands? It's not easy being a truck driver. Of course the company could care any les who dies. This accident was most duely caused by who ever was driving the truck.

You think companies actually want their drivers to die?

I don't think they want you to die, but the rewards they get from putting 2 new drivers together in one truck, multiplied by the thousand in their fleet, outweigh the possible risk of losing one or two. The savings outweigh the possible expense of the wrecks or deaths?

    They don't care.

My Company has under 400 power units and has 5 Roll Overs 2 of the drivers were million milers one other I know personally and he is the utopia of safety. My point is accidents happen to the best of us

    Truck is long gone,
Trainee and Trainee teams are gone.

training is now 6 weeks out with a trainer, then 4 weeks out with a finish trainer, before going solo.
