SS, smoother ride. Kicks up alot of water though.

Well, first of all, it's X-tra wide, not "super single." A super single is something used on the front axle of cement trucks and the like.
Anyways, i really like the xtra wides and i think they are the wave of the future. Smoother ride mainly. Not to mention better MPG. -

Fount this link while surfing... Took it all in "with a grain of salt" they ARE after all trying to promote the tires, But it did seem to contain "some"? useful info. -
Well I've never had super singles or xtra wides whatever you wanna call them.
i've heard all the arguments for and against......but what I'd like to know is this
You get boxed in a lane and there is debris it pops two of your trailer tires.......are you gonna be able to get the rig shut down safely with the supers like you can running doubles or is there gonna be a real big mess -
sorry it's not "X-tra wide" it's wide-base singles
-
doubles ALWAYS..same as above reason
IF i get a flat I can limp it off the road or to a repair shop
Super singles or Xtra wides YOU ARE DOWN right where it happens...and its time for a road call.....rocknroll nik Thanks this. -
Doubles for better traction on winter roads
-
doubles..no doubt about it...roadside aint cheap
-
most defitnately doubles, for all the reasons above.......
