Put the landing legs down when loading. I used to do that when I run containers and wanted to nap. I would run the legs down dump the air on the truck so the the trailer was not tuching the 5th wheel better than getting knocked around in the cab. Just dont forget to crank them back up.

im going to try dumping the airbags the next time i get loaded there, hopefully i will have enough air left in the main tanks to overcome the problem.

i never liked the idea of the bags being hammered whilst bottomed out.

short of dropping the legs, i just dealt with the re-pressurisation times.

dont have to worry now, as i haul precast.

There is nothing wrong with having the bags dumped and a forklift going in and out. If anything leaving the inflated could do more damage depending on the weight of the forklift and the object they are taking off. I have seen bags stretch out enough to blow out. Whereas when the bags are dumped the pedastal of the bag normally has a rubber bump stop on it inside the bag. This helps cushion the shock on the bag when it is dumped and keeps the pedastal from beating the top plate. Some bags don't have this rubber bump stop though and are usually only used in lift axle position where extra ground clearance is needed when the axle is lifted.

hard to say what would be common out here, given that most trucks run HEAVY spec suspension as the norm..

but i do see what your saying.

I have a 2013 Kenworth T 800 with for air bags per axle all my airbags on the right-hand side are inflated and all the airbags on the left-hand side have no air in them I had it in the repair shop last week for this and they replaced the levelling valve and I still have the same problem

Is the height set right? To high and it will stretch the bags and blow bottom out. Not enough air or height and it will rub a hole in the bag.
