Absolutely not a problem as far as I can say. I'll run it by the rest just to be sure, but I don't see a problem with it.

All those pent up emotions have to go somewhere Dino. Don't keep 'em bottled up inside. That'll just eat at you 'till you let it out. There's no shame in shedding tears for the passing of a true, dear friend, not now or in the future when you'll recall fond memories of SouthernPride.

Right now, this minute, the total of the reality of SouthernPride's passing hasn't completely soaked in, ................................... yet. But it will later, no doubt. Different things will remind me of him and cause me to reflect, --- and I'm just a poster who appreciated his contributions here at TTR. I can only imagine the void being felt by those who knew SouthernPride up close and personally.

Something, someone has been taken from us. SouthernPride no longer walks among us. We can no longer see him. But as long as he's not forgotten, he's not gone. How fortunate we, and those who come here to read and learn, are to have SouthernPride's thoughts recorded right here to reference. He tells of being there, doing that, and now it seems, wrote a book about it.
As long as there's a memory of SouthernPride that remains, he is not gone.
I think it would be a fitting tribute to lock at least some of SouthernPride's posts for eternity. That way, whenever someone asks "what's a trucker"?, their question will be not only be answered, but also include a shining example of what determination and resolve can accomplish. SouthernPride couldn't take what he left with him, and I doubt he would have even if he could. What SouthernPride left in his stead is a gift.
    No doubt about it.
It's now up to us to keep the SouthernPride memory alive.

To all those who have posted in this thread, thank you.
Personally, I learned a lot while reading it, and I felt the emotions.
To all those who only read along, thank you.
To those who provided more than words, thank you.
To all the Staff and those behind the scenes here at TTR, without whom all this would not have been possible, thank you.
To SouthernPride, the subject of this thread, thank you for putting your thoughts in writing and posting them here.
Though we never met, you have influenced my life. One has only to read this thread to understand the reasons, and one of those reasons is the compassion and support openly displayed and given during a time of need. I can't begin to explain how impressed I am, and how proud I am to be in the midst of such fine folks.

    Long live your fame
    And long live your glory
And long may your story be told.

    R.I.P.
