Don't expect to get the newest truck out there. When I worked for them in 2008-2009 I got a Freightliner Classic and a Peterbilt 387.

Can't tell you about miles as I do dedicated and I get about 2k a week but that is all I need. Trucks are what ever is available at that moment. Might be old, might be new, might be nice, might be trashed, you never know.

When my son Dan got his class A I joined this forum for info and Ricky? talked me out of letting him go there. Right now he's unemployed and has been out of cdl school for 2 years so he would need a refresher. His twin brother got his class A and went w/ Werner because he cuoldn't find anything local. So far he loves it;been all over the 48 since 1/3/11 He's out of training and currently solo, calls me every day,he's happy that he started w/ them because they trained him well;first trainer had 6 years experience training,2nd one was 67 years old was able to teach my son a lot. He still calls them for advise. So don't let the whiners scare you off of them ,they are a good first company to start with.

Update; My son got fired after 5 days of having his own truck;reason hard braking. They want him back in 6 months so they can use him at trainee rate again. Apply at your own risk. 3.5 months 14 weeks pay average $250 per week. If you think that's good money go for it;there's a lot better companies out there.

Wow within 1 week from one extreme to the other and yet you yourself have never worked there.

As for wanting him back I am sure they said you are welcome to apply again in 6 months if you like. They probably figure he won't and could not care less one way or the other.
