Make sure you try and get layover pay. Considering you could of del, that in 3 hrs from the time you picked it.
I got lay over for two days last week, unloaded last Saturday am , didn't reload till Sunday night. ( lost that load do to 5th wheel not unlocking) Then once it was fixed on Wed. and told my travel agent im redy, didn't reload till Thursday am. Asked for lay over and got it.
I also got break down pay, for 2 days. I earned more in layover and break down than i did in miles. That's sad.

Home now, removing 90% of what i had in truck, just have the things i need, clothes, shower bag. Hoping to hear this week from a company on when i can start with them.

    rachi Thanks this.

skibum, if you go to another company keep in touch to let us know how its going. are you going to give a two week notice?
Was talking to a former marten driver who told me he gave a two week notice and they made him go turn the truck in at mondovi. He lives in texas. They said they would give him a bus ticket home.

Ya they would give him a bus ticket home , and then take it out of his final check.

indeed i will stay around here. Mondovi is where i want to turn tk in. only 366 miles to the job i'm looking at going to. As for 2 week notice im not sure. If i do, they probly won't route me to mondovi. IF i rquest time off in Mondovi, then just clean tk out and leave, they may try to put false info on Dac.

On a differant note, just got word the biotch of mondovi got fired on friday. She had dispatched for them 20 years. But now she's in the unemployment line . As inconsiderate as this may sound, i'm jumping up and down with joy.:biggrin_2559::biggrin_255::biggrin_25522: Seeing she ge=ot her payback, for the way she interacted with here drivers.
A friend of mine had been moved to her board 3 weeks ago, and for 2.5 weeks it was nothing but a battle, for miles, see how he is a O/O truck.

Couple weeks ago I parked for the night at the pilot in grand Island. I tried to fire up the apu but something was wrong. I took a look, and noticed one of the pulleys had snapped off. I called road service and requested that I be able to Idle because of the cold. (it was lightly snowing) They said go ahead and Idle but get it fixed soon as possible. I was headed to ontario so I figured I would get it repaired there. I only Idled for two nights, trying to not overdue it.

A week later I get a message and there all up in arms about the two nights I idled. The message said in short that there gonna be after me if it continues. There good at letting you go to a carrier or thermo king dealer to get it fixed if need be, but sometimes there are no dealers around, or you might be on tight load with no time to stop, which was the case for me. Would be nice if they were a little more understanding in situations like that. When the apu goes out on the truck, its like the power going out at the house, no a.c, no heat, no microwave, no coffee maker. :smt022

I had a hell of a time getting my espar fixed on the road. Rd Serv. kids wouldn't let me go to TK. Snt msg to my dispatcher, and the next thing i knew, The Manager of RD Serv calls me, we discussed the problem(s) with the espar, and then the apu decided it didn't want to work. She appoved for me to get it fixed during my last home time at Thermal King.
