I am trying to think of an easy way that I could chart out what we did each week so you could see how we ran out of hours by the 7th day, and show you the miles we ran without taking a photo of my log book and posting it.

Now most drivers are not going to log 12 hours on lines 3 & 4 each day.
We did not yet if the trucks were actually running 24/7 like they said we would each driver is doing a 10 or 12 hour shift. here is how you could easily run out of hours.

    1Day 12
    Day 2 24
    Day 3 36
    Day 4 48
    Day 5 60
    Day 6 72
    Day 7 84
I have one week March 28th - April 4th (7 days) my total miles are 3836 that is an average of 548 miles per day. A SOLO driver could easily handle this But Hendrickson thinks they can keep the truck moving more miles with two drivers! WHAT A JOKE!!!
My last days out with Hendrickson we had a total of 2029 miles in 3.5 days Now understand this, I quit at 14:00 so it is not a full day, but that is still only 579 miles each day!! and remember you are splitting your pay at 0.21 cents per mile! So why is Hendrickson running these California trucks as team drivers? To make a bunch of money, taking advantage of the drivers!

These new trucks are only allowed to run in California so at the border you have to wait for another truck to come and meet you to Drop and Hook. we waited over 6 hours out on I-15 at Exit 286 for a driver!
Secondly these trucks are being dispatched to pick up local loads sometimes being a Live load, that takes time! I was required to stand at the dock and over see the loading and Hendrickson will NOT Compensate a driver while he is waiting to get loaded!!
TIME IS MONEY for Hendrickson, but as far as the driver goes your treated like used toilet paper.

It happened to me by my 8th day out I worked 2.5 hours and then had sit and wait for my team driver to get in his 10 hours before he could start driving, he only got back 6.25 hours as I was the first one driving 7 days prior!! At midnight I only got back 9.5 hours.
The dispatcher Mike got on the phone with me and told me to re-wright my logbook. He said we were killing ourselves because of the way we were logging our runs!

Whats wrong with "log what you do, do what you logged"?

Nothing, if you are not getting paid by the mile:biggrin_255:

Need as much of that 70 as you can for line 3 if you are not getting paid to be on line 4. Everything on line 4 should be 15min unless you are unloading the trl yourself.

In a perfect trucking world that would be great! But with Hendrickson's you spend most of your time waiting for dispatch to send you a load. We pulled into Fontana dropped a trailer and grabbed an empty then waited there for almost TWO hours before getting a dispatch to go get a new load.
Get this we delivered a load to the Lowe's in Visalia and waited for an hour, finally we received a dispatch at 10:30 to head to Stockton. I called Dispatch, Questioning the dispatcher as the appointment time was for 11:00AM. it was impossible for our truck to travel 167 miles in a half hour, we were told to go ahead and get there it will be ok.
We arrived at Advanced H2O in Stockton at 13:05 we were told that we were late! They told us the best that they could do is have us back up to dock #16 and they would load us when they got the first chance.
5 hours later our Dispatch called us and asked if we had gotten loaded, I said NO. Dispatch asked me to go see what kind of an ETA they had at loading our truck. I was told they could not give us a time. We were then instructed to pull out from the dock and head to Sacramento.

This is the norm for Hendrickson!!!
These team trucks are not getting more than 3600 miles per week! That is our best week. And I have not meet any other team driver who has beat that!

First of all Snowbird my hat is off to ya! To have endured the life of a trucking man I can tell you are an incredible lady!

I found it very strange that all the doors are locked during the business day Especially the recruiters office!

    This quote is very interesting.
Did Ken Williams get fired only to resurface back at Hendrickson? :biggrin_2556:
Could it be that Ward Hendrickson could not find anyone else who was as corrupt and unethical to fit in with the Hendrickson code of ethics?

I have bumped into a few drivers who said that they are part of a class action lawsuit against Hendrickson Trucking. Does anyone have any information on that?
