The idle bonus is under 40% correct? And what exactly does that mean and thank you for all the answers, I look forward to meeting you along with the other drivers around the forum as well! -
Recieved my "welcome" email yesterday. Started gathering the needed items. Will grab some at the Germantown Walmart on the 24th. I gotta pack as light as possible for the flight there.
Just a few questions myself.
Can anyone answer where we will get with our trainer after the WI schooling? And, where will we pick up our truck after training?
A lot of unknown, but I'm ready to learn.
Thanks for all the help out there! -
Those are some questions I am interested in also, and to add one more, after we have been picked up by our trainer do we have home time within the 5-8 week training process?
-
Old Boar.. You make that decision about "where". You can go home and be picked up as long as the trainer can get there or you can get picked up right at the school. There are many variables when it comes down to it. YOU will actually be in contact with your trianer and make final preperations. Ed (your instructor) will ask you certain questions when you are doing first day paperwork.
As far as picking up your truck when training is complete, that could be anywhere.
bdanning264...most trainers DO go home during your training however it's not a guarentee. Be prepared to stay out the whole time. -
Sounds good!

Mr Danning, sorry I missed your ?? about the 40% idle time.....again at this time there is no idle bonus. it is being changed and last I heard, it was going to be introduced into the mileage bonus somehow but I don't have any details on that as of yet.
-
are you allowed to idle then since there isnt any bonus?
-
yes you can idle if you need to but they dont want you idling just for the heck of it. only need to idle if hot out or extremely cold as the trucks have bunk heaters for during the winter.
-
