W/S Adventure Begins!

Everything came back and I have received my orientation date for May 9th in Missoula. I was thinking about going on May 2nd but decided to wait a week as that gives me ample time to give a notice at my current employer and a week off to relax before beginning my new career. I'm so excited! I look forward to meeting some of you awesome W/S drivers and will post my experiences as I go through orientation. Keep the wheels turning and be safe out there!

 

Thank you very much everyone! I'm really looking forward to getting started and getting my fanny out on the road. I'm debating on whether to drive up to orientation or to take the bus ticket offered by W/S. I assume we are assigned a truck after orientation which could be located anywhere so I don't want to find that I have to leave my car in Missoula. Lol

 

I sure will! I will keep posting and will document my orientation experiences.

 

It took a couple of weeks to get my invite to orientation after they had gotten all my background info in and my work references. I wanted to be sure that all my info was back and I was accepted before I gave my notice at my current employer as I have been there for three years and they have been good to me. So they didn't give me the invite until everything was back. That was so awesome of them to do. Makes me feel more comfortable about giving my notice. Even though I could bomb orientation, it's much better than what most companies do by waiting till you get to orientation before doing background and work references.

 

Orientation begins a week from today. I will begin posting my experiences once I arrive in MT and will keep everyone posted on how orientation is as I go through it. I'm really looking forward to it!
