Thought I'd throw up a post here, been trollin for about a month or so. Signed up and been doing a little posting over on the Swift threads.
I drove trucks back in 2006-2008, (with SNI, TMC and then a local construction co.) got out of the industry, finished college got a job in juvenile corrections. After a couple years of that I'm more than ready to deal with the comparatively small headaches of driving a truck again.
So I'll be getting on with Swift running out of the Denver terminal, to get some miles back under my belt but my ultimate plan is to get into my own truck try to make all that big O/O money I keep hearing about.![]()
So I'll be around learning all I can from the old hands and having some good laughs, at all the antics that go on here. So give me a shout if ya want.

I have a couple of friends that work at the DOC, its a hard job, I know the one, prefers working the graveyard shift, he figures most of the night their sleeping, and most of the big shots are gone.

Toro, yeah DOC would be a tough job too. I didn't go that route because I wanted to work with kids that were headed to DOC and maybe help a few find a better path. I work with a few guys that started their careers with DOC and they say that working with juveniles is much harder. That being said , I liked the job, I liked the kids, I even liked most of my coworkers. But, the way my facility operates is really unsafe and unwise, and in a setting where that means possibly having to fight for your life it becomes far too stressful, at least for me it did.
