They do pay back no recipe tolls. There is not 4 doller wire fee on advance to be used for the truck or the route. They don't pay for the ATM but what they want you to do is get a Comdata check cashed after you get fuel.

1.They never have for me and I've been working their for over a year
2.It's $4 trust me,short of posting my paystub info online(which is now gone only one day after I leave the company) I think I could read the "wire fee" description on the paycheck.

That is absolutely not true. Not only will CRST not reimburse "no recipe" tolls. CRST will also not reimburse for "no receipt tolls."

There's a sucker born every minute. Why is it that the majority seem to end up at 16th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa? Again, that is simply not true. Absolutely, positively not true. In other words. You are wrong.

Finally a correct fact! They indeed DO NOT pay for the ATM!!

Hmmm? What they want you to do...............hmmmmmmm? IS CASH A COMDATA CHECK? Ok, I give, that is true also. Mighty convenient to cash a COMCHECK on a turnpike, huh? If memory serves me correctly. (And it does:biggrin_25525:) aren't you paying a .75 cent transaction fee to process that COMCHECK to receive that money? I thought so.:biggrin_25525:

Persons seeking information SHOULD be able to find the truth. Especially in this fly-by-night, dog-eat-dog industry.

I only need look back at one of your previous posts to see the golden guidance that you dispense (at the expense) of those that think that you might know what you are talking about:

Thanks for reinforcing those facts majortom,a lot of these guys that come in this forum work for the company for like 2 months,or try and play "recruiter" for that referral bonus and lie to everybody trying to keep their method of "nickel and diming" the driver, out of plain site.Don't get me wrong,if you want to get your foot in the door with some experience by all means go to work for them, but get out fast as soon as that year mark hits before you start getting pissed otherwise your work reputation will start to suffer because it will change your attitude towards them.

all the terminal are dusty, holy gravel lots except for cedar rapids.I think personally the worst was fontana, they would give you a trailer and a pizza delivery guy comes by and offers you like $5 pizzas, and don't even think to leave your doors unlocked because they were having a big problem with people stealing anything out of your truck that you didn't leave welded on to it for a while. We were real busy in the winter until that first weather shut down macro we gave them,it went downhill from there.

You are most welcome Limpy! Again, the TRUTH should be accessible to those seeking it. To you and I, these posters are completely transparent and come off immediately as phonies. Unfortunately, to the uninitiated and inexperienced folks......they somehow come off as credible. A shame isn't it?

Strange though, how many of these so-called experts don't respond after a session with MajorTom? I wonder why?:biggrin_2554: I'm so warm and fuzzy. Aren't I?

The unabashed truth. That is why. No smoke and mirrors.

I have some very strong opinions regarding those that are only here to provide 'snippets' of (very questionable) information and then disappear. Why? Because the men and women coming here are making crucial career/job/life changing decisions that will affect their life (or lack thereof) for some time to come. Mostly though. THEY ALL DESERVE BETTER!

Families, homes, jobs, children etc., are at stake here. Unfortunately, so many have have lost all of the above due to uninformed and half-assed guidance that they have latched onto as the truth. That sucks.

Limpy have you found other employment since getting out of the CRST nightmare? Here's hoping that you are doing well!

Not yet but working on numerous leads...speaking of those people losing their homes - to date I have financially lost my car,the place I was living and of course - what woman would want to stay with a man that was out on the road for 4 months at a time because he wouldn't afford it? the way i see it,anything is going to start helping me build myself back up after the mess THEY put me through, and keep in mind - this was only after 1 year that i started this little "mission" or "chapter" in my life that I have lost all that.Currently I'm sleeping on my step dads couch for the past two weeks,I have 3 or 4 possible local jobs I'll be looking at monday. Not a dime to my name and borrowing my mothers car.But - if anything this chapter has taught me it has been that this is an industry you do NOT want to just jump into, and tread waters carefully. If you make the wrong mistakes due to lack of proper education like I DID,well my friends you will wake up one day without a bed to sleep on.

Nice, Majortom. Now, since you have the keys to the wisdom stash, please tell me, without any of the , "well, it all depends" crap, which companies are worth working for right out of driving school.

I go to one the top 5 driving schools in the country and my resume is impressive, although I do not the OTR most companies want. I'm a noob, as the name implies.

I want to go to work for a company that will pay me well, treat me right and not screw me over. I have applications in with every company that I have found that will hire student drivers. I am starting to get pre-hire letters and can pick the one(s) that I want to work for.

I would like Coast-to-coast driving with 3 weeks or more on the road, 1000 miles a day as a team driver, and acceptable milage pay. I live in the Southeast.

    Who should I pick?
