CRST - training review.

They do pay back no recipe tolls. There is not 4 doller wire fee on advance to be used for the truck or the route. They don't pay for the ATM but what they want you to do is get a Comdata check cashed after you get fuel.

 

That is absolutely not true. Not only will CRST not reimburse "no recipe" tolls. CRST will also not reimburse for "no receipt tolls."

There's a sucker born every minute. Why is it that the majority seem to end up at 16th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa? Again, that is simply not true. Absolutely, positively not true. In other words. You are wrong.

Finally a correct fact! They indeed DO NOT pay for the ATM!!

Hmmm? What they want you to do...............hmmmmmmm? IS CASH A COMDATA CHECK? Ok, I give, that is true also. Mighty convenient to cash a COMCHECK on a turnpike, huh? If memory serves me correctly. (And it does) aren't you paying a .75 cent transaction fee to process that COMCHECK to receive that money? I thought so.

Persons seeking information SHOULD be able to find the truth. Especially in this fly-by-night, dog-eat-dog industry.

get a local job. or a east coast job.i got my CDL last July in October i tired TMC transport it was a waste of time good think i don't quiet my job.most people said it"s a good company if you can get in.i was dare for 2 weeks it feels like being in boot camp and dare stupid computer test.end of may ill call CRST.wan you were on the road what was longest days before you got home.how busy you guys were in the winter storms.how does CRST terminal looks.how is your job search coming along?

 

You are most welcome Limpy! Again, the TRUTH should be accessible to those seeking it. To you and I, these posters are completely transparent and come off immediately as phonies. Unfortunately, to the uninitiated and inexperienced folks......they somehow come off as credible. A shame isn't it?

Strange though, how many of these so-called experts don't respond after a session with MajorTom? I wonder why? I'm so warm and fuzzy. Aren't I?

I have some very strong opinions regarding those that are only here to provide 'snippets' of (very questionable) information and then disappear. Why? Because the men and women coming here are making crucial career/job/life changing decisions that will affect their life (or lack thereof) for some time to come. Mostly though. THEY ALL DESERVE BETTER!

Families, homes, jobs, children etc., are at stake here. Unfortunately, so many have have lost all of the above due to uninformed and half-assed guidance that they have latched onto as the truth. That sucks.

Limpy have you found other employment since getting out of the CRST nightmare? Here's hoping that you are doing well!

boy it seem that you have a good ride some time an a bad ride other times i be goin out there to ceder on monday may 16 i hope i can give you more info on my trip/Orientation. i got my lic so i bee there for two weeks an out with my driver be safe an i keep you up to date on this one

 

Nice, Majortom. Now, since you have the keys to the wisdom stash, please tell me, without any of the , "well, it all depends" crap, which companies are worth working for right out of driving school.

I go to one the top 5 driving schools in the country and my resume is impressive, although I do not the OTR most companies want. I'm a noob, as the name implies.

I want to go to work for a company that will pay me well, treat me right and not screw me over. I have applications in with every company that I have found that will hire student drivers. I am starting to get pre-hire letters and can pick the one(s) that I want to work for.

I would like Coast-to-coast driving with 3 weeks or more on the road, 1000 miles a day as a team driver, and acceptable milage pay. I live in the Southeast.

Who should I pick?
