TND710 vs 700

Wohoo!! Called a local Pilot, told my sitituation and they said no problem. Said they would set one to the side with my name on it to pick up in the morning. Gotta love good customer service. Just hope I don't end up with another lemon because I so dig this Gps.

 

Have you heard anything on this lately? Thanx again for checking

Hi Mark, any word from your boss yet?
I was in Priceville, AL. 04/12 and happened on the Rand tour at the Pilot.
The gentleman updated my t5c to ver 11.1.1842.1520. It is good to see you guys out on the road helping the drivers. He said to put a bug in your ear about the map updates as well.

Hey Phil, same thing happened to my 700 last week. I said screw it and purchased the 710. Man, I love the 710.

Hey Mark, why does the unit flicker and then goes dead forever with some of these units. Is the so called motherboard burning out?

 

Looks to a good while longer before I venture towards the TND offerings
Wonder why the instability issues on these ?

Those running the Dezel 560 arent having any issues to date

 

I have not seen this issue yet. But, a full charge on the battery and make sure you use the enclosed DC power cable. If you use a lesser DC cable it may not provide enough power (amps) to the TND.

As with any electronics on any forum you will mainly only hear what is not right. This is a small sampling of the TND's actually in use by drivers.

Do not take the postings as a Sign from above that the TND is flawed. It is not. I test daily and although I do see more of the down side of the TND versus the nice fluffy parts, I still believe strongly in the TND.
