If Andy and Thomas are still around, you'll like working out of there. Go for it.

Good for you, ask AT if you can borrow his furniture dolly when he isn't using it

It sounds like a good opportunity. I hope it works out for you, Axe. I took a shortline run (out of Austintown) a year and a half ago and it's been a good fit for me.

I like to use Super Sliders with the furniture. Slip one under the front edge of a box and it slides at least twice as easily. Best $10 I ever spent on the job and they fit in my cab way better than a dolly.

    AXE Thanks this.

Hey what are these things called, do you have pictures of these things? what am I asking these questions for? We don't touch the freight, they load and unload or it is a drop and hook! TD24.

I have no pictures but they're a flat plastic disc with a foam rubber pad on one side. The plastic side is smooth and slides easily. They're meant for moving furniture across a room without scratching the floor, but they're great for moving boxes of furniture across my trailer. I got mine at Lowes.

No touch freight? I'm jealous. Then again, I get paid well to touch my freight so I won't complain.

That ma'am is a great idea! I have a dolly (in my storage unit at home) but will look into getting a couple of those.

Thought I was going to get routed back to Lakewood to start this on the 18th but on my way to Memphis via Jackson, MS.

    That's "ma'am" to you, sir! ;)

One thing I don't miss about OTR is dispatch. Some great people, I'm not dissin' 'em, just sayin' I don't miss heading north when all I need is to go east. I hope you get home soon! Let us know how it goes.
