So for those not following Reids blog he announce millis has 320 new trucks ordered. Start taking delivery of kenworth T700 at the end of june but I think its around 20 a month. Will have cummins isx 450 , built in fridge double bunks. Hoping fa is at least 12,500 but I guess ill find out soon enough.
Im headed to GA for Monday delivery and met up with another millis driver to roll with so should make for good trip. Take care and be safe. Have good weekend when u get to it. -
Funny you mention Sam Adams.....I have pics of that dock as it was my second dock bump when I was in training. Let's just say I was sweating that one big time.
I am very glad we dont go there anymore! -
holley cow, those should be used for trainers or team drivers, hope they get some ant-eaters (T-660), but i'm surprised that they did not order them with the new paccar engine, maybe those will come next year, say what size motor are in those T-600 now and the rear gear ratio, back in the 90's they had cat motors in them, pulled real nice, thanks

Yea Baritone. First time I went into Sam Adams There was a truck that put his trailer tandems off the edge of the dock platform. Had to wait like 3 hours to get him pulled off so I could deliver. bye the way the truck I had was 7014, So I was lucky enough to get one with the TriPak on it. It was saweet.

That just shows you what kind of company Millis is. To buy new trucks in this kind of economy, they are obviously running a tight ship at the main office. They seem to really care about their drivers and making sure they have safe and comfortable trucks to drive.
Every time I log on to TTR, this is about the only forum I come look at because I am so impressed with Millis. I really hope to get on with them in the future. All you guys that work for them that are members of TTR seem like a bunch of great guys that I would like to work with in the future.
Anyway, I will quit here. I am starting to cry! (just kidding) -
Hey.....there's no crying in Trucking LOL
They are not perfect as no company is however they have done everything they said they would and more. Many of us have developed a good group that watches out for each other and shares information. It's hard to find that in today's work force.
They are replacing the 2006/2007 trucks and from what I can tell - with the addition of the new trucks we will pretty much all be on E-Logs.
Check them out and let us know if you have any questions along the way.Last edited: Apr 17, 2011
