Werner worst company ever

Id say this one has gone about as far is it is going to. Why would they check the computer on the truck for hard braking if they didn't have a reason?

The boy ended up in Omaha for a reason, and it wasn't for fuel or a "level 1 inspection". Id be curious if the truck was due for its D.O.T. inspection probably not.

No need to check, it sends an alert to the safety department... that also explains how the driver eval guy pass him, and THEN he failed afterwards. The hard braking message comes to the truck like a regular message alert, easy enough to ignore.

 

Once I figure out how to post some examples of what safety will see I can forward them to you. However I have to think that a single hard braking event wasn't enough to cause a termination. Like I've mentioned before, it's probably time to look internally and try to figure out what to change to become a more professional driver. I know that it's difficult sometimes to admit that things may be your fault, but self examination is something that everyone should practice. I do it from time to time, usually after I realize that I'm complaining about the same thing over and over. It takes a long time for some of us to realize that the events that occurred could have been altered by decisions that we made. Perhaps we were more at fault than we once realized.

 

I had a hard braking event with CRE while driving in El paso and a 4 wheeler cut me off - I got a message on it, but never heard another word. There's more to the story.

 

When, or if, he ends up driving, this will be NOTHING compared to other distractions he will face. I hate to say it, but I dread to think how he'll handle them when they surface...

 

He has been driving since 1/3/11,most of the time the trainer was sleeping in the bunk and my son slept when trainer drove. He was kept on trainee pay till he tested out 3/24/11. It took from then till 4/6 to get him rolling in his own truck. He was driving solo till they canned him 4/12. When are you doubters going to take the blinders off and see the truth? They & a lot of other big BFI's run a revolving door drivers mill ;designed to keep their costs as low as possible by getting their freight moved for as little as possible.And they make taxpayer supported money for training new recruits,they have no need to keep these recruits as drivers because there's 700-1000 more per week coming in to take their places.Like I said before the same thing happened to his brother at a local beer distributer Kohler. One week before he was going to get fulltime union status w/ benefits at a higher pay rate; they fired him on a BS charge. Not being in the union he had no protection or representation(he couldn't fight the bs termination)
Newsflash: this is the new economy;if companies can run their businesses with low paid trainee or part time(no benies) labor and get away with it; it means more money for the shareholders and upper management.Companies send all the jobs they can, to third world country to lower their labor costs (and get Us taxpayer supported incentives for doing it) with the blessing of our government.Trucking is one job they can't send overseas,so they find creative ways to reduce their labor costs (part time ,no benies or trainee pay)or drive freight rates down by creative ways like letting Mexican truckers into the US.If you don't want to believe the truth, I can't force you to. Some folks would rather keep their blinders on because they are too afraid of what they would see if they took them off.
