I saw nowhere were anyone was trying to intimidate you. I saw someone point out your lack of experience after you made a post regarding a topic in which you seem to have little experience beyond reading regulations.

# 'olhand,
Besides in this thread, everything I post on this forum comes from 'the green book'. So if you think that is 'BS', then Im at a loss of words. I even referenced where in the FMCSR he was wrong for logging FDOT HOS. Also, the members that tried to correct me ended up reiterating what I origionally stated, which is why I didnt respond to them. Granted I wasnt driving a combination vehicle, but the same rules applied to me as I wasnt a traveling salesman.
I had my class A for almost 10 years. Please dont judge me because what I put in my bio. Judge me for what I post on the forum.
No one up until your post gave me a legitamate reason to sign a petition.
One more note, do realise that not every truck driver is a owner operator with 40ish years of experience. We all have to start somewhere. So, step off the pedestal.Last edited: Apr 19, 2011

Sure" bring'em and keep'em comin!!!we have all" the work/job's in the world. As long as your not an American.

You sayin' you can't stack it up better than some third-world wannabe?

That's what people are doing and you don't like it. In another post you stated that you had never turned down a load. Anyone who has never turned down a load because the rate was too cheap doesn't have to worry about Mexicans taking their loads - because you're already part of the same problem.
Granted, if you're a company driver you might not feel that you have any reason to turn down a load because it all pays the same to you. Or you might not even know what the actual rate is. If that's the case, and if you're not really concerned about rates, I'm not sure that you have a dog in this hunt.
People with real-world experience in the trucking business - particularly along the southern border - realize that an influx of Mexican owner-operators or Mexican companies will have a negative impact on rates. Regardless of what the rules and regulations say.THBatMan8 Thanks this. -
This statement tells us a lot about you BatMan. Maybe you should leave rate discussions to those who are better informed and who have the balls to say "no" once in a while?

Now back to the op.....
Bring them on....I'd like to see them handle Vail, Cabbage, or anywhere on the 80 in WY....During the winter....
I hope CDOT will pay close attention....Those guys gave me sheyat one time for not "properly displaying" tire chains.......When they check my bins for chains ( I don't "display" chains for the same reason I don't "display" my wallet on the dash when I'm sleeping...)....I do hope they will be fair and check the NAFTA rigs for chains as well.... -
I heard on XM Roaddog how this is going to help people on this side of border also...One guy ships lobster to Mexico, flying it costs him $3.52c/lb, shipping it is $1.50/lb(I think that's what he said) so he will make a lot more money and some US based trucker will get paid to ship it...
The Mexican trucks will also have GPS and/or EORBs on them to track their movement and make sure their not moving a load other than the one they brought over the border plus many other restrictions...They're on a double secret probation type of situation... -
But the Mexican truck's EOBR will be paid for by the US taxpayer....Not the Mexican Government...
Now another thing too consider....
Say a NAFTA rig plows into your rig....Our Politically Correct gooberment always the appeaser, will allow the NAFTA driver to have a quick ingress to their nearest embassy....
Then....You know DOT will come out and pull an L1 ON YOU.......You'll get the "award" and the "speech"...."Driver...you weren't supposed to be there..."
