:biggrin_25523:Surly you have started your own trucking company than. Good luck and please try hard not to become dirt bag like so many owners of big trucking companies.

:biggrin_25525:All sites have lots of company spoke-holes just wonder how many are on this forum?
All spoke-holes front and center to be counted!
Like communist used commissars trucking companies use spoke-holes for exactly same purpose. Commissars had no conscience and deed not feel at all guilty for deceiving the population and spoke-holes just like trucking company owners are unable to feel guilt also. Interesting creatures to be sure but I am completely uncertain if human. Must be some lizard clan from out of space. :biggrin_25525:

They might have changed the jackets. Mine's a black windbreaker, lightweight material, zip up, with a dar kgrey fleece/fuzzy lining.

Backpacks and towels and whatnot aren't years of service, they're Christmas bonus and driver appreciation. I've about worn my backpack out.

That's what I was thinking. I'm going to take mine to a Safety meeting in WVC and ask Bob about it. I'll show him the knife, Central logo down, and when he tells me whether I can have it, I'm going to flip it over and show the Central logo. Then I'll see what he says.

I used my knife to slice the top off a banana. It's good and sharp.

Actually, Central company trucks are governed at 62, and lease ops are 65. And, my truck's moving average is 54 mph most weeks.

If Central didn't work out for you, that's too bad. It's not going to work out for everyone, and I'll be the first to tell you it won't work out for most. Heck, I've had my share of weeks where it didn't work out for me.

Leasing for most drivers is a losing proposition. However, a lot of people lease thinking they'll make a huge amount of money and own their truck at the end. Most of the time, it's not like that. But, it's their choice.

I looked at mine. It sucked. Thankfully, my bills are low. That's the breaks though. the year before was much better, and this one's shaping up to be better than last year.

People who think they're going to get rich driving or owning a truck that's leased through a company need to really reconsider. You're not going to get rich. You can do okay, and if you budget well and run well, you'll be fine. But you won't get rich.
