    Why would it be in Spanish if it's issued by a US company? But hell... My insurance papers are in English and Spanish. Ain't no big deal!

    Actually, nobody notices them now. Those yellow FL Centuries running between Laredo and Dallas every night belonging to Quintanella's is a Mexican concern. No more than the Mexicans notice the 4 US companies still operating in and out of Mexico, a holdover from the previous cross border program.

    Mr. G.... The Mexican trucks running long haul in Mexico aren't a ###### bit different from ours. There is nothing to upgrade!

    A handful of Mexican trucks, probably less than 100 if FMCSA's predictions are accurate, will have ZERO effect on anyone's ability to earn a living or stay loaded. If 4,000,000 US CDL holders can't compete with a handful of Mexican trucks, then McDonald's needs burger flippers.

    A hundred or so, right now. After the "demonstration" period, how many thousands will be here with no EBORs to watch what is going on. We all know what the long term outcome of this will be, the same as NAFTA. The giant sucking sound of our jobs going south, as a wise man once said.

    As is happening now, American companies benefit, and foreign workers. In the news today was an article showing that in the 2000's, US companies shed 2.9 million jobs in the US, while hiring 2.4 overseas. In the 1990's those same companies hired 4.4 million US workers compared to 2.7 overseas.

    No matter how it is spun, this will not be good for the US worker.

    Lockridge had a caller on his show today who was born here but raised in Mexico...She said the majority of Mexican drivers don't want to come here...It's their government that's pushing it......
    Hmmm sounds familiar....Obama is pushing NAFTA like Billy Mays pushed Oxy-clean....I wonder how much the cartels contributed to Obama's '08 campaign?

    Im sorry for taking this on a sidetrack, but allow me to make one thing abundantly clear. I dont mind making online friends, but I will not bow down and worship anyone, and I wont take crap from anyone. If you want me to respect you, then show me some respect. Its the golden rule we should all know.

    Back on subject;

    A open border to Mexico will be rough at first, but it would benefit both countries in the long run. EOBR's are a recomandation from the FMCSA. A EOBR is not required to run legal in the states.
