I heard that after the orientation that you go home for 2 days then come back to be with the trainer.

Just got off the phone with the Schneider recruiter Kim Hardy. Wow is she terrible. Talk about making you feel like a number BEFORE you start working there. Sheesh. After a month of trying to get all my ducks in a row realizing I was going to spend a lot of time on the road and making a big change from my current profession she was just rude. I thought I had done my homework and picked the right company. I'm glad I got an early taste before making my trip to orientation. Good Lord her people skills leave much to be desired. When my school asks for a report from me on the companies that offered me jobs they will be at the bottom. Good luck with that lady representing you Schneider.

Juicer, I started with SNI in 1999 and got my CDL with the Charlotte training center on Starita Rd. Schneider is a completely different company it seems now. I left them in 2000. I did like that they had excellent Operation Centers with amenities for the driver. Not the greatest, but certainly not the worst either. Schneider is big, you do have a driver number and everything revolved around that when I was there. The equipment issued to novice drivers like me was old and it did break-down quite a bit. I had an 96 International Pro 9400. It had 730K on it. Some memories there.

I am willing to bet you got one of those bad apples. When I hired on, my recruiter went out of her way for me and was down right nice. Being a Texas boy, I like nice people....can't deal with that bad attitude that comes from up north I guess...

I'd be interested to know in what way she was rude.

One thing to keep in mind is its a holiday week. Things are jumping everywhere. Perhaps she was just having a bad day. No one is perfect.

Having said that , everyone I've been in contact with, has been just great. Prompt return phone calls. Seems like honest answers to my questions.

Everyone needs to make the best choice possible that suits them. I've made mine.

Good luck to all. Happy Holidays!!!!

Well for juicer if you decide how a trucking company is based off contact with One person in the company i hope you find what your looking for. Now i realize that the recruiter is the first contact and should be polite and honest but to me the more important relationship would be with my DBL because thats who helps make the money. It would be like meeting a father of the girl you want to take to prom and he's an a@@ but the daughter is a 10, do you pick a nicer dad with a 5 for a daughter, not me. now i'm not saying schneider is a 10 more like an 8 but i use it as an example. Good Luck and Merry Christmas
