I honestly don't know;I do know I had to find my way home from Ft.Dodge,Ia 7 years ago, through no fault of my own, although my home then was only 140 mi away, and I did have money..I do know,a year or two ago,a company called Arrow Trucking out of Tulsa,Ok.,left many, many driver's stranded on the road when they folded, and these poor people where in company trucks, the fuel cards were worthless, and it was the holiday season...So friend.;draw your own conclusion..

I know of one, his son was killed and I guess he was drinking to mask the pain. He shouldn't have been dispatched.
One of my friends was sent to the jail by his(our) company to bring him back from OH to IA. I guess they felt bad about him being in jail with no way home and he served the jail sentence before coming home.
I found the part out about his son from another driver whose son had killed himself on Christmas Eve several years ago. -
NO and he will be lucky to get another job when they find out why he was firedBumpy Thanks this.

Drinking does not mask the pain, it just brings on more of a different kind of pain, and you still have the first one.

Companies don't legally have to get you home. My last company guarantees it though. You get $100 for a bus ticket and they throw your belongings on a pallet and ship it. I seen too many war stories. I always keep an ace in the hole.

In a perfect world, It be nice if they would pay for you to go home, or even arrange to get you to greyhound and get you home, even if you had to pay back the greyhound fee, but recently fired, and depending how far away you are those tickets can be a little pricey
