The Pilot, Peidmont, SC, enrte for Rockford, IL for a Sat drop. Never did get a reply from the FM today. Wonder if he even received the msg. Can a DM read a msg directed to someone else??????? I know that I got a real snotty msg this morning. My pplan came in when I was on the road. About 15 mins later beeps again. Pull over abt 30 mins later when find a rest area, and there was a msg, answer your pplan.
Hamshoe and Rattlebunny Thank this. -
Woodbridge Va I-95 truck rest area,
NO what that means is he wants u to do a PRE PLAN Commitment. U know, U put a Y then the Pro or Load number.
Sometimes mine asks me if I'm going to accept the PPL or not. I guess we have alot of drivers turn down loads now that we have E-LOGS... They dont give us enough time sometimes...

This was the first time that I was ever asked to accept or decline within 15 mins. Their policy, do not pull over onto the emergency lane to answer your QC. I have gone hours before answering a pplan. Again, as I said, this was a first, and this was after I sent a directed msg to the FM about my DM yesterday.

Blsqueak: Pick up the phone and call the FM. If you can't reach him, call the TM. This BS needs to be addressed.
Regarding the message to answer the PP. I get those occasionally, too. That message is sent when they need to know whether you are going to take the load...so that if you don't, they can plan someone else on it. We have certain "touchy" customers who need to know way ahead of time that the load is covered. I don't take these as "snotty" messages. Just a jumpy planner trying to keep a customer happy.
Those directed messages aren't always read in a punctual manner. A phone call would yield faster results.
How are your miles this week?Rotten, Rattlebunny and Hamshoe Thank this. -
I got one of those last week too but was totally my fault-I got the PP nite before but it wasnt an urgent message--I hadnt accepted it til i was emptied. They are getting in a habit of sending me several-especially on weekend. LOL Never know which obes they really mean for me to have. Then they been rolling me hard last week or so-lucky to even have time to breathe.Hamshoe Thanks this.
