haven't been updating because i was using my phone, but here is a summary of the week.

    Monday - video's ALL DAY
Tuesday - Classes on air brakes, log books, and substance abuse
Wednesday - bobtailed around the yard for a little while, after lunch hooked up to the TRAINING TRAILERS (they are loaded with jersey barriers and such to put you at about 79k gross) did some city driving to focus on shifting
Thursday - had 3 trucks and only 2 TRAINING TRAILERS so I got to hook to an actual furniture load, drove around town focusing on turns, narow streets, railroad crossings, etc...
Friday - 4 of us went to the mountain with RL after lunch worked on our log book exercises, other 3 went to New Jersey treminal with Tim

If you want to use a truck to practice, all you do is ask Tim and he will get you atleast 1 truck to use. We asked and he asked how many of us wanted to use it and he actually got us 2 to use. If you only want to shift he will get you a truck, if you want to back he will also get a trailer for you (empty or furniture as they are lighter and allow you to focus on manuvers rather than moving the weight)

Well welcome to Dirty Jer-Z. Thats funny I'm at the Sayreville Terminal for the weekend. I'm sure you have left by now. I will have to check my truck when I get back to it. LOL. I was just talking with Tim and RL on Thursday about the Sayreville terminal. What did you think of the trip? Did he show you the sights. Haha.

Well then, you missed a great run. LOL. Don't worry, you will get to experience NJ and be like the rest of the drivers, begging to stay out of the NE.

I know the mountain driving is part of the "normal" course but what about the NJ trip? Is it normal to do a trip with Tim?

He tries to get a trip somewhere in on the weekend. Don't always have the freight though. He was trying to get 2 loads but was only able to get 1

I finished orientation, I am officialy employed by W/S. here is a rundown of the week

Monday - Don't remember I THINK it was a day for everybody to catch up on test, log books, etc...
Tuesday - the guys that went to jersey over the weekend went to the mountain and 2 others went city driving with Vern, myself and another guy did backing on the yard
Wednesday - graded log exercize 3, most had to redo it (big head here) but i got it right, watched the qualcom video and took the test, then everybody was in the yard backing
Thursday - Did employment paperwork, had briefs from terminal manager and dispatch, did confrence calls with fuel guy, and played with qualcom (had to send messages to TC3 {Tim}). after lunch graded backing
Friday - classes on ltl, dock/warehouse, then went in the warehouse, class on winter driving, then demo on chaining up, back to the classroom for loading. got started on loading and Tim had to take a guy to the bus station for his ride to Dalton to get his truck, then another guy is riding to jersey with Vern and the "freshmen". That about finished orientation as Tim was trying to figure out who, where, when for us all to get to trucks.

I'm sitting at home now, got to be in Conover Monday to catch a bus to Dalton. Should get my first load assignment Tuesday.
