I've been a "cdl" driver ,we call then class A or class1 here in Canada, since 1985, started on the farm trucks then was hired by TansCanadaTruckLines, now defunct, to work as a O/O, busted my chops mostly on the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S.A., Quebec, Ontario.
I'm starting a new job Saturday for a small local company pulling a reefer lookslike Brownsville mostly, looking forward to getting back on the road after a winter of sitting at home, my choice.
Appreciate the forum you have here and reading the posts from other drivers. Notice there's a separate Canadian forum so I'll mostly be hanging out there I guess.
Hoping I don't have to park next to you but if I do plz don't shoot me in the fuel tank and blow me upat least not till I get my first paycheck, .43c/mile flat.

I just started a new job averaging about 700 miles a week, no fair.
Things will pick up though, it's a tough time for fuel haulers in North Dakota--half the state's under water, and the other half is still thawing out!
