So owning a truck is just an idea? Do you have any real world trucking experience?

Everyone has to start somewhere. I'm glad to hear you are interested in coming over to the industry. I am not sure of your age, but either way, I would suggest you starting out for a minimum of 1yr as a company driver before you try buying your own truck. And once you do, Schneider is a good company to start out with.

If i were you, i would then be a leased driver (own your own truck but drive for a company) for say another 2-3yrs then if you wanted to, you could go get your own authority and a trailer and go do your own thing.

Best of luck to you, and don't be discouraged by what some of the guys on here say. Most of them are just crabby old truckers who can't adjust to change and don't like anyone who wasn't born when dirt was shinny LOL ;)

    Rebelson Thanks this.
