Well we delivered this morning, dropped a trailer at a shipper, went to drop yard in Houston and now we are heading to Florida. I am really impressed. I have a good trainer showing me all aspects of flatbed, we have had 2 strap loads, 1 with and 1 without a tarp. Our current load is a chain load. So far flat bed in common sense strap or chain so you don't lose the load, tarp when asked and that is it, I enjoy the fact of not so many drop and hooks.

Been a few days and 8000 miles since my last update. We dropped in Florida, load to Ohio dropped, then load to Vermont and now on a load to Oklahoma, trainer said he is going to send in to let me off the truck Monday so maybe we can be in SpringMo by the middle to end of next week. Flatbed is work but I like it, I think I am going to stick with it, we have worked in 90 degrees all the way down to 38 the other day, clear skies to rain, dealt with some wind but nothing too bad yet.

I find flatbed work satisfying. Something you can take a lot of pride in.

Well we delivered to Tulsa, OK today, was a nice day but #### the wind sucked when trying to fold the 4 tarps, made me rethink this flatbed deal. :biggrin_2556: We got unloaded around 10, sent our empty in and NOTHING available due to the holiday. Finally around 5 pm we got a load dead head 360 miles to Arkansas for a load to Springfield. I have 9000 miles done so far, I was told I needed some basic experience and my trainer to recommend I get off the truck and he plans on doing that Monday, if they say not yet we are going to rock out next week and then try again. So far I am very happy with my decision to join Prime. Be safe

Well it occured to me while running through your hometown last night while the I95 derby was in full insanity (ya know, 2300 and they're still driving in total anal retentive mode) that something was up.

Had the unfortunate timing to go empty this morning... now stuck at a chicken house until??? GRRR!
