i was at a place in eveansville in a few yrs agao they stopped drivers from using the rest room but some body made a complaint and according to the guy that worked there they had to provide a rest room for thr drivers. note that it was around the building in a little shack but they had to provide one. the driver that posted this should have left them a brown shark at the door

I've been to two.
First one, the boss will not allow drivers to use the bathroom. We are told that the business across the street will let us use theirs, but they are usually closed by the time I get there. However, when the boss is not there, I am allowed to use the bathroom, so it's obvious who made the rule.
Other stop told me I had to walk about three blocks, in a really scary neighborhood, to a deli that would let me use their bathroom if I bought something. I was lucky that I really didn't have to go, and just wanted to clear everything out before I hit the road. But, I very politely explained that the next time I was there, if I needed to go and wasn't allowed to use their bathroom, I would have no problem using their parking lot or their front steps. They explained that there were cameras on the parking lot, so they felt it would be a deterrent, yet I explained that it would just help make my point.icsheeple, Laner99 and The Duchess Thank this. -
You are already grouped with these drivers, thats why we all have to do drug test, because of a couple bad drivers(well maybe a couple more) but you get the idea
-
Generally I'll walk back and go between the tandems of adjacent
trailers if no bathroom is available or to far to walk to.
Just make sure there's no yard jockeys around or cameras
looking your way. -
Behind the shrubs works too.

Well if you dont have a small trash can and a couple of plastic bags as liners in your truck for bowel emergencies you should. Oh and a box of diaper wipes, then wrap it all up and toss it in their garbage can... Many times I have used this method as mother nature will not wait.. You have to have a plan man... Also zip lock one gallon freezer bags are great for bladder busting moments, zip it up and drop it in the closest garbage can. Gotta have a plan man...
northstarfire0693 and Laner99 Thank this. -
Maybe if you didn't spend so much time in the left lane, Larry...

yes, we provide a service, how vital is in the opinion of oneself, not all.
it is perhaps a "common curtousey " to let someone use the bathrooms, BUT NOT AN OBLIGATION TO DO SO...
when do we or why do we have to complain to "change things" for the newer generation of truckers..?? if they can text message, use an ipad, ipod, whatever POD, let THEM fix their own problems in THEIR future...they ain't helping us, i see no valid reason to help them...for instance, if THEY WANTED to help us, they WOULD BE MORE POLITE at the customers docks, they would dress NEATLY and be WELL GROOMED..and above all else, SAFE drivers, not like the nitwits that come out of the CDL Mills....the wannabe ignorant self-righteous A-Holes..?? LET THEM FIX ALL THE PROBLEMS , we face or have faced daily in our time doing this very often thankless profession..
problem here though is what proof did they have that it WAS actually a driver and not one of thier scumbag workers..?? unless that person could have told you THEY HAD video proof of his comment, then it was a comment best not said.
and again this "could be" the cause, but someone would have to provide proof of such, not merely say so.
no we cannot be responsible for someone else's mistakes, but as a group (and WE ARE a group) we have to take such hits. you claim to be an adult..?? then suck it up, and MOVE ON...THAT'S LIFE....
until the CDL Mills actually teach from A-to-Z, (and this WILL NEVER HAPPEN) we will continue to see morons graduating and causing problems that the old timers can only wish they could club them with the tire billy...
this is what i said as well...WE ARE A GROUP, and it'll STAY that way for generations yet to come..!!
(and back to the O/P......) just do your job if no bathroom, well so be it....you should have been better prepared, and STOPPED EARLIER, which frankly, your story holds no weight just because "you get there"....bathroom breaks are to be taken, like lunch/dinner...as well...why is it that some say, "if the weather is bad, slow down, no load is worth your life....."
but yet, one forgoes a simple human bodily function for the sake of a customer..???
POOR PLANING, on your part, not stopping when the need came up or just for the sake of "going", is on you all day long.....no load is that important....... -
Well the way I see it you have missed a great opportunity to use our wonderful justice system and how you can sue anybody for almost anything.
Step 1 go in your pants right there and make sure some gets on the floor
step 2 walk about 3 to 5 feet away from the mess and wait a couple of seconds
step 3 walk or run which ever you prefer and slip and fall in said mess.
They had a unmarked slippery floor and you fell into a bio hazard waste material and are now have suffered great personal humiliation and cannot work again without fear of falling into bio hazards.
Step 4 Sue them and retire from this broken industry and be deemed a human being by the public eye again.
Or do ye old poo in a bag thing but at least be nice enough to take back into the office and ask them to dispose of it for you. The look on their face will be one you will never forget as you stand there trying to hand them a bag of poo.The Duchess Thanks this. -
keep a 5 gal bucket with a lined with a trash bad for emergencies. And a good supply of hand sanatizer.Just saying.
