I believe Keith just started with them. But he also said that he got that issue taken care of and is getting better miles. My husband is a driver for them and averages 2800 a week. It is true that around Nov to end of March miles are slow. Good luck with whomever you go with. I'm leaving this Saturday to start school with Roehl on July 2nd.

Yep, I started solo May 22. Plenty of freight that time of year. BUT, whispers is right - I told my DSR that either I had to get more miles or I would give my notice. Since then, I have run out of hours TWICE! :D So I have told her every single day that I appreciate the miles and I have learned to manage my time/log better and stay legal, so they are running me hard since I showed them I could do it.

As long as you don't burn yourself out, all is good.

out of the three motels they offer, The Old Dutch, The key apts, and the star dust. Which on is the best? I like high comfort and great sleep. Also one close to a bar wouldnt hurt either.. :biggrin_25525:

After speaking with a couple of very helpful and courteous reps this week, decided on Roehl. No company is perfect and always will be a few ups & downs along the way, but, overall Roehl seems to stand a good bit higher than most of the others out there. Doing my online app today, wish me luck! Hoping I can qualify for the credit for school. If not, going to be very tough for me to do it. Got a good enough credit score but issues in the past may cloud the process....not sure how all that will pan out......maybe not a big worry in the big picture. If all goes well, I'll probably start school in late July or early August. Anyone else out there planning on being there at about same time? Thanks again for all the support and advice!

Hope you are kidding about the bar. I'm going to be staying at the Old Dutch Lodge. I was told it was very nice.

Good Luck. IF you have a credit rating of at least 600 you will be fine. (I got that from my recruiter.) If not you can always get a co-signer.
As long as you drive 120,000 miles solo or 240,000 miles team you don't have to pay back the loan. Roehl takes care of it.
