Just do some exercises in the truck and make it rock so they think you already have someone.

Yeah try to find the next to the building or lighted areas or have time on the clock to get to a "better" truck stop! Isn't going to happen every day!

That Petro off 285 on the west side of Atlanta isn't in the best area! You should have seen it before the Petro bought the property! Now that was a pit hole and the area was 20X worse than it is now!Heck you weren't safe with a pit bull with AIDS as your protection!

If the trucks don't have the arm rests then if the seats swivel turn the back to the door and slide it back against it. You just need to slow the idiots down while you aim for the head or face or the dog gets a better angle to eat their face off!

Yeah some of these morons can't read or think the sign says "Idiot driver inside that falls for everything he hears"

And yes if everyone would STOP handing money out to every con artist they have walk up to them they would go away! But they know some drivers just have more money than brains! Want proof? Offer to buy them food or fill their tank and they'll 90% of the time leave! Have you ever offered those morons sitting on the ramps with the "will work for food" signs money if they would help lump the load and get told to FO "I'll make more sitting here than throwing freight!" My money stays in mmy pocket! IDC how pretty she is or if thats a real baby in the stroller (yes in Kingman, AZ Fkying J mostly a brunette) And she can be seen in OKC! Or the older heavy black guy around Chicago with the tire blown out tire on his van who wears a Teamsters or Roadway cap! Then the girl who will knock on your door at the I-70 IN scales at the IL IN line asking for gas money or more for a "view!" Thats a few and if you keep feeding a problem the problem will only grow! Keep your money in your pocker and I mean it for you "religious" types who answer Gods call but God didn't mean to help the con artists but those in need which these aren't! They make actual good money at pan handling!

If you're sitting in the seat and are actually keeping track of your surroundings and notice someone zeroing in on you just look at them and shake you head and point away!

When cell phones became affordable I always made the call to the fuel desk! Everu truck stop or chain has a pamphlet with every store in the system and their location and contact information. There are also books with this information. I preferred the pamphlets over the big truck stop guide as they fit together and would fit in the overhead pockets and were fast to use. If my door was knocked on they were told to leave and then the phone call made and I have yet not to see someone from the store come into the lot to run off the trash!

As for them standing next to the building and hitting you up in mass like I read several pages back. If I saw it and it was a female driver you can bank on me being right there and sending the trash away and then I'd be inside the building to let them know they either needed to get on the ball or things could get worse if these "people" were to get a little to forceful! If the fuel desk doesn't respond, a call to corporate always works AND can even bring a letter to the house with coupons for free stuff! I like free stuff! I make many calls to secure a safe environment for me and thee!

If you don't make the calls then you deserve the environment you get!

It used to be hard to have a quiet evening and night at many of the truck stops but some of the real pit holes like Jesup, MD, OKC, Atlanta Cherry St and even Gary and others have cleaned up a lot.

That trash heap in Philly is gone and the police do ride the streets in the food district more to run off the riff raff but it was still a toss up as to if you got to sleep!

Hunts Point district is a lot safer and even cleaner!

Also 911 does work when called!

Question: Earlier someone stated that the ProStar Internationals did not have a armrest to hook a strap in. Is there a hard sided door pocket that you can hook the strap to with the hooks? Remember it might not stop them but it will slow them down and you have to remember it's pretty hard getting a good grip on those door handles on the outside of the door to be able to force it open! Just a thought.

Not always! The lizards know that more drivers don't have CB's and that more of them are sitting on the computer gaming or posting to TTR! Or SLEEPING so a knock usually works!

Signs...."Go away. I beat you to him."

    IADs...IEDs....what about IUDs?

Rollover: excellent suggestion regarding the door pockets. I will take a look at them. Even though I've never felt the need to go that far. The only time I've felt a spot was too dangerous to stay in (rest area I-10 AZ in the Dragoon Mts.) I turned the key, put her in gear and found a different place to be.

Jessup, w.memphis, e. st.louis, ontario,ca etc. after i park i go to the fuel island and get the phone # directly to them, ask about on duty security and inform them that when i hear-a-knockin' i'll be a-callin'. they encourage the help.

I'd rather have the lot lizards beatin' on my door than some riff-raff in a Teamsters cap. LOL
