No... its about keeping an individual involved in a death in the local jurisdiction until a hearing can be held to determine if there is cause to hold a trial.

If all they had done was issued a moving violation ticket, the guy would have been free to go... and a good many people would leave the state in a hurry at that point.

Like many have said, it's too difficult to determine what the real deal is. After the investigation is complete and the facts come out at trial, one will be able to judge for themselves. Until then, the driver is innocent until proven guilty. Don't know who the author is or what their experience level is, but this article is way to vague.

No, I don't know for sure. Just making an educated guess by how they drive there. I driven Atlanta more than any populated city. 95% of the traffic speeds on the loop unless they see a radar trap or there is a traffic jamb. It doesn't matter if it was the 4 wheelers fault. If the truck was doing 5-10 over and most likely he was, he will be held accountable.
ChunkinPunkin, just because you know a few rare stories, doesn't mean they are all like that. The cops arrest on what they know at the time. Two trucks involved, one arrested without bond, one not, one can make a good assumption the truck driver was witnessed doing something wrong. They didn't just arrest him because he was a truck driver. Your story of a truck 2/3 over in a lane change and a 4 wheeler changes lane into him??? There's more to that story too.

I read several articles on it. All say he changed lanes into the car. None say the car changed lanes. Not like it was intentional, he just didn't see them. Improper lane change with a death brings more serious charges.

condo, as i said there was more to the story, brother in law , was charged with 2 counts of vehicular homicide, improper lane change, just like this guy. turns out bro in law was innocent after the facts came out. same as could happen with this guy.

some of you are the reason the news guys write the headlines as they do, you eat it up with a spoon and have the guy convicted already.
