say it isn't so. -
I don't know how come people don't check things out. I started with Swift and they did exactly as they said they would except I was home almost every weekend when I was with trainer. granted pay was crap but they told me that upfront. do you guys not lsten or can you not read ? they send you a packet with all of the pertinent info on it.
Rotten Thanks this. -
i worked for 25 cents per mile before. i ate beans and rice, and bologna sandwiches all year. I walked to work, had to, and lost a lot of weight.
you will to if u take that job. keep hunting. 6yrs, u should be able to find something -
it could be alot worse, their pay as far as that link shows...isnt bad...its better than what my current company is paying me as far as the rate, and the benefits look better also.
but what i wanted to say is that the worst thing you can have is a bad attitude,it could be alot worse...just read alot of the posts on this forum.Injun Thanks this. -

I hired on with Swift back in Dec 2010 as a brand new, greeeen, rookie!! Did the 6 weeks training on the road and then started at .26 a mile. I would have recieved raises over the course of the year bringing men to .33 or .34 a mile. I was very happy with Swift but had to come off the road due to family issues. I very much look forward to going right back.
They arent devoid of ALL problems but no company is, but I found there support, equip, and miles to be excellent. And yeah..i miss runnin for Swift!Injun Thanks this. -
I make .25 per mile. I hate tuesdays, when I see my paycheck, after doing my loads which shippers pay Swift 10k-20k a LOAD when they only pay me under 100 bucks a day. I am leaving Swift asap
-
Oh, puh-LEASE!!! 10-20K???
You gotta stay away from that Liar's booth out in front of the driver's lounge! -
#####, I would like to know that those loads are? 10k-20K. Now about 6K I could accept, going from Coast to Coast. I remember back in the days, some coast to coast loads would just about pay that, depending on the freight, especially in reefer.
