    question for you experienced drivers:
how would one go about securing a gig driving for, oh say, sprint, nationwide, nhra, music industry,.... would assume clean DAC and plenty of time behind the wheel are givens.
someone's gotta do it. just curious.

Watch for "Stage Call" on craigs list around Nashville. They do a lot of band work like tours and shows.

Race teams send 'em a resume. You may have to start as just a relief when they do west coast runs. Be aware it is far more than just driving.

Food, supplies, uniforms, cooking, PR are all part of the job.

In most of those gigs, you need to know someone to get in, that's how it was when I got into the entertainment business. If a place is advertising, it's not always the best, if it's a good company, they have a waiting list to work there. Also, like the other's have said, you don't just drive for race teams. I had a drag team contact me on what it would take for me to come and drive their rig, (I have my own luxury, collector, TV/movie vehicle transport business, so I'd have to shut it down to drive their rig.), I told them $250 a day.

Also check out the thread on driving for entertainment equipment.http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...8128-entertainment-industry-driving-jobs.html

Also, you're going to need at least 3 years experience, no race team is going to turn someone loose with a $250,000 race transporter with no experience.(Not trying to be smart, just being upfront with you.)

Well, forget about nascar then. what do you think they do, drive from Mooresville to Richmond and sit in the bunk for the weekend? Driving is a very small part of what they do.
