You get over yourself, you were critical of the OP, I'm critical of you.

As for making millions by the time you're 38, that's just laughable. I'm guessing you'd be lucky to make $50,000/yr at WS. The OP ain't the only one around here who's full of crap.

wow you just made a complete arse out of yourself haha

Truckerdaddy24 is the one that made millions NOT Mike, and TD24 owned his own biz so I dont doubt that he did.

2nd I'm not 100% sure but I think he was defending MY post not mikes, but either way it has and had nothing to do with you OR W/S.

3rd Mike is a O/O so He'll make AT LEAST TAKE HOME $50K or should anyway...

For someone that has never even driven for W/S you sure do have allot to beach about.....:biggrin_2554:

Hahha, this post is full of win....

First off yes I am a one year'er at W/S in fact they laid me off right before my 1 year mark. So I probably would have loved to flame about them, except....

    1. They are a starter company, I walked in the door with my CDL thats it. They crash coursed me, I even made a pretty good mistake in the yard to the tune of a set of tires, guess what I didn't get fired on the spot, I learned a lesson that day.

    2. I worked hard, never denied a load or a truck, I managed to get a truck I liked after a few months of a truck I hated, I was a new guy so I didnt expect a 2011 Brand new truck, I expected a used truck and thats what I got.

    3. Still working hard I ended up getting offered a local gig for them in Los Angeles, doing LTL and finishing up team loads to keep them moving, paid WAY more than OTR ever did and I was able to see my family every night. and yes the equipment for local is ancient, but me and "Booger" as I named my 96 Freight Shaker became good buds, and to this day I would drive that old bucket anywhere, it was in fact very up to par as far as inspection status goes.

    4. Yes I got laid off, bad weather back east slowed the LTL down and with too many local drivers and no freight what was I to expect. I took it as a blessing and moved on, I found another driving gig 4 days later even closer to home and they were very impressed with how I drove being so wet behind the ears in terms of Years OTR. Ironically a week after training in the new job WS called and asked if I would be willing to come back (things sped back up), I did turn them down, but only because I was happy with the new gig.

So, while I admire the original posters "story" its just that, I have been there I have done that. I dont even work there and am willing to say they did me right. I got what I needed from them and met a few good friends along the way.

I will be nice because I just came off vacation. Here it goes. When you want "to paint the company in a negative light" this is the forum on this site to do so. See below- Now look at the first word REPORT. Do you understand what this word means? I will help you. It means he does not need to come back and banter with you because there is no requirement to do so. He was reporting his experience with the company not asking for feedback for him to respond to.
Now next time someone comes to the correct forum and reports what they feel is bad about the company. You will not feel the need to pop tall and do a WS commercial nor slit your wrists when they don't respond to your need for pointless banter.:biggrin_255:

I will however agree with the other poster on the fixed fifth wheel. In 21+ years I can count on less then 1 hand how many times I have had to move the fifth wheel to make weight. But it is nice to have if you want to adjust the ride a little.

Pointless BS is more like it, like your post...And us happy campers like to defend a company that treats us right, which is our right to do...

I can't speak for WS but I have hauled beer ,flour, sugar you name it and never had a problem with steer axle weight which by the way is all a sliding 5th wheel changes. Set it and forget it. 12000 lbs. Some will tell you your allowed 20000 and yes you are with the right tires and thats a whole other subject.

It's not like they are the only company to not have sliding fifth wheels. :biggrin_25521:

I don't know if it's the 4' king pin placement but I've been within a couple of hundred pounds of gross more than a few times and never had a problem making it scale out...
