I just got my truck with USA 2 weeks ago. I am w/ fleet 44 and would like to know as well, what is bad with it. The fleet mgr left for another company and we have a new guy, so hopefully things will be better. Personally the first week I had the original and she answered any questions I had. Got 3178mi my first week. Can't say for 2nd week as I am in it now, and I had to come home for family emergency. I sent dispatch a message on my qualcomm, took load going towards home, relayed it to another driver, and deadheaded home. That was great in my eyes, so I see good things in my eyes. I am new, so I will see things I'm sure. But I've worked construction, car service dept. # dealers, parts sales for Advance Auto, and worked restaurants and managed them. All jobs have bad things, I expect I will see problems somewhere, but so far it's been good with me.

I went to C-1 in '06. I ran otr for the first 6 months. Then I got a call from corp. to run a dedicated run from MS to ON,CA. It paid 2700 mi a week and home every SUN and MON. I took a pay cut for having a dedicated run, but since I was only driving for 6 months I didnt really notice the pay cut. Did that run for 6 months. Then I got another call from corp. It was deal driving TN to NC 2 out and backs a wk only 1400mi a wk with 5 nights a wk at the house. They put me on salary and it was good pay for 30 hrs a wk. My experince was very good with USA. They told me they picked me for the dedicated accounts based on where I lived of course,on time percentages were very, very good, the fact I made it through my first 6 mo. with no accidents or tickets, and a good reference from my otr fleet manager. This was just my experence with USA results may vary ;). My advice to new USA recruits is put some pride into your work so you can take pride in what you do and try to enjoy yourself, and remember you gotta take some bad with the good..
